A General Conference Postlude

I am sitting in the Washington National Cathedral, a good place to gain some perspective on the recent General Conference. I would like you to believe that I have come here on a spiritual pilgrimage, to purge myself of the spiritual maladies which cling to any soul that has recently attended the international meeting of the United Methodist Church. Remaining Joyful by Susan Ward

There was not a lot of joy in the Ward family on Saturday morning.  We began our day earlier than we would have liked, because as much as we try to explain it to our three preschoolers, they seem to have no concept of sleeping in on the weekends.  After breakfast we got everyone dressed and began our marathon morning of errands.  We had things to do at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Walmart and Costco.
